Die Jugendinitiative der Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie Baden-Württemberg in Zusammenarbeit mit TAVMA Show und Future Fashion laden zum Film & Talk beim "Made in Bangladesh" ein. Die TAVMA Show Streaming Party findet online statt. Der Journalist Volker Rekittke ist bei der Filmvorführung anwesend und kann im Anschluss mit Moderator Willy Rollé im Gespräch mit der Regisseurin Rubaiyat Hossain live erlebt werden.


The event is hosted by the Youth Initiative of Sustainability Strategies, Baden-Württemberg, in cooperation with TAVMA Show and Future Fashion. This initiative makes sustainability issues visible throughout Baden-Württemberg through formats such as city tours, exchange parties, online workshops or film events. Shimu, 23, arbeitet in einer Textilfabrik in Dhaka, Bangladesch. Angesichts der harten Arbeitsbedingungen beschlossen sie und ihre Kolleginnen eine Gewerkschaft zu gründen. Dabei wehrt sie sich gegen die Drohungen der Unternehmensleitung und die Uneinigkeit ihres Mannes.


The 23-year-old lives in the capital Dhaka and works long hours in a textile factory for a meager salary. After a fire in the factory leads to the death of an employee, Shimu tries to unionize her workplace.
